Kingdom hearts 1 will always have a special place in my heart. I remember playing it back in 2007. I was hooked immediately, couldn't put the game down.... Untill I got to monstro 😅😅😅😅

3ds is the better handheld

Tales of Fantasia was by far my favorite. It was also the first one I played in the series. Use to have an emulator with a ton of games and this one was translated. I was so frustrated after it was over as I enjoyed it so much. It also had that Zelda feel in the sense that when u first think it’s over, u find your only half way.

I will forever rave on about Solatorobo - a game i found because back when i was a kid, i pirated DS games like nobody's business thanks to the R4 cartridge i had. It's a super unknown title due to physical copies being rare to nonexistent outside of japan it seems. The story is set in a world of dog and cat people living on islands in the sky and you get around by airship (or your trusty heavy lifting/flying hybrid robot suit). Each place and chracter has so much personality, the controls are simple but fun and everything is just--- so full of charm! It's up on the pedestal with TWEWY and Ghost Trick, my forever kings on the console, and i wish more people even knew it existed

Final Fanatasy and Dragon quest are good but highly overrated. Phantasy star , Cosmic Fantasy, Legend of heroes, sword dancer. Now those are good rpgs

As a guilty gear fan I am very satisfied. I wish I could play the new game on switch though.

Kh1 will always be special to us 90’s babies growing up with it and of course all the other games up to kh4 releasing soon are all good in their own way ❤

Fun fact. One of the developers started out making rpg maker games. The one he created (and never finished) was so awesome.

I couldn’t connect with the star forceseries. I loved battle network and could never get use to the limited movement of starforce.

A friendly reminder that in KH1, Hollow Bastion had the most number of Disney characters in a world. The Disney Villains, Princesses, Donald, Goofy, and Beast (we can even count the summons too, especially Mushu, since you obtain him after Dragon Maleficent's fight). Then there's this scenario I don't see people talk about much, and that's FF characters being in the same room as Disney characters aside from Mickey, Donald, and Goofy. And that's Belle and Beast. Yes, Hercules interacted with Cloud, Arron, and Zack (though they never interact, Sephiroth was in Olympus Coliseum). Future KH games never replicated this magic since then.

Came across this short right after closing KH3 because it just feels like such a mess compared to the other games.

This game is dramatically improved by a sadistic time limit on the store demo. And only owning pre crash consoles at home. And no music that wasn't Christian music, or recorded on story book audio cassette. The opening title theme took me to far away lands beneath an alien sky. Could they see our star? Did they ever feel alone in the universe too? The actual game itself almost doesn't matter.

DS will always be Nintendos best console.

You really don't get to comment on Gen 4 Pokémon if you haven't touched Pokémon Mystery Dungeon Explorers of Sky, the peak of the entire franchise

As I like to collect games physically, I regrettably paid up for this game during the pandemic (I think around $180 or so) but it was honestly worth every penny. The premise alone hooked me but after playing to I truly understood why this game is regarded as it is. I did find the game to be a little grindy and I’ve never really liked random encounters but with a battle system as good and fleshed out as this, every battle made me feel like I was meaningfully progressing. Honestly wanna give it another replay after watching this video!

I love the DS. Being a child at the end of the GBA/beginning of the DS era, I was blessed to get a DS Lite. I played so many amazing GBA and DS games and sadly traded most of them away for newer tech. Some of the only games I kept (luckily for my bank account) were Pokémon games. Pokémon has always been my favorite franchise since playing Sapphire on the SP that my cousin gave me as a hand me down. The DS era of Pokémon is my personal favorite as well. Though I started with RSE, it’s undeniable that the DS games are superior. My personal favorite, since I was a young teen when I first played them, are BW2. Just a masterclass of pixel art, narrative, and region design. I’m so happy to see that people are finally giving them the love they deserve. I remember most of my family and friends skipped gen V because they grew out of Pokémon.

This is all just nostalgia bait. By most objective metrics, this game is inferior, it was cutting edge 22 years ago, but it hasn’t aged so well in the present day. Something KH2 from suffers considerably less so.

Nintendo ds is really is best gaming console ever I still have in hand and it still work as always :) the game i been playing is Kirby squeak squad that game is so fun and relaxing ☺️

I've been on a Nintendo DS craze for over a month now, I have a small light blue DSi and I found both of my sisters old blue DS Phats buried in their closets along with some games I was looking for that one of them used to have (Mario Hoops 3-on-3, Kirby Squeak Squad, Yoshi's Island DS, Super Princess Peach). I've also been ordering some other DS games for fairly cheap prices that I haven't played before (Zelda Phantom Hourglass for example, I had a carrying case themed after it but never owned the actual game until recently lol)

The Nintendo DS was easily the console that helped me fall in love with Gaming along side the Wii and the PS3

Just by seeing Eri in the thumbnail, I knew this would be a good video. It is good seeing someone agreeing about what the best DS game is.

To this day, "Calling" from The World Ends With You is still my phone's ringtone. Yet I didn't actually finish the game. I remember doing a lot of unnecessary fashion grinding, until something happened and I just stopped playing. I believe I was in the final "chapter" of the story, though.

3ds is better

I owe so much to this console. Had it not been for it, none of the franchise I'm a part of today would've been in my life. It was also the ONLY console I had, so there's some bias still present (ps5 + switch < ds baby). Also had it not been for my younger cousin letting me play his ds games, I wouldn't have been where I am now.

You a gamer if you even know what The World Ends With You even is. If anyone wants to play that game, I recommend using an actual DS/something similar, it just hits different when using 2 screens.

I love TWEWY so much. I played it when it first released and still listen to the soundtrack now. I dreamed of visiting Shibuya and was finally able to a few years ago - I made sure to visit some of the locations from the game, like the 104 (109) building and the Hachiko statue.

I think 999 might be exactly what I’m looking for in a DS game right now. You’ve convinced me to try it out. 🙏🏼
